Top 5 outdoor yoga spots in Panama

Yoga in an outdoor setting can offer a profound enhancement to your practice. Engaging with nature can elevate your energy levels and bring a renewed sense of balance. Outdoor yoga is not only refreshing but can also profoundly deepen your connection with both the environment and yourself.

While well-known spots like Parque Omar Torrijos and Cerro Ancón are cherished for their natural beauty, they often become quite crowded, especially during peak hours. If you're seeking a more serene and unique setting for your practice, here are some lesser-known alternatives near the city:

1. City of Acknowledge's Park, Clayton

Located just minutes from Panama City, City of Acknowledge Park in Clayton provides an expansive, well-maintained green space. Its peaceful ambiance and low visitor traffic, especially during weekdays, make it an ideal location for a calming yoga session. After your practice, explore the nearby Ciudad del Saber plaza for a variety of dining options and cafes.

2. Metropolitan Park

For those who will enjoy combining yoga with a touch of adventure, Metropolitan Park is an excellent choice. Located just 20 minutes from the city, this beautiful park is open daily from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM and offers a natural setting that is ideal for both Yoga and Hiking.

Keep an eye out for the park’s bird species, including the Green kingfisher and the Trogon Massena. The flora includes a variety of tropical trees and plants, enhancing the beauty of the trails. The entrance fee is typically $1 for Panamanians and $3 for international visitors (prices and hours may vary, so it's advisable to check the official park website or contact them directly).

The Cerro Cedro Trail is highlighted as the best for its panoramic views and the comprehensive natural experience it provides.

Ps: Dont forget your water, some healthy trail snacks, or bananas and a camera to capture everything from the lookout point! Please! Keep walking up!

3. Gamboa Town

Located a bit outside of the city, Gamboa provides a rich natural environment ideal for yoga and wildlife enthusiasts. The area offers a variety of outdoor spaces where you can practice yoga surrounded by the sounds of nature. Here are some nice spots:
